POSITION: Outreach Coordinator

DURATION: Part-Time
LOCATION: Hybrid with flexible hours
SALARY: $20/hour
WORK SCHEDULE: approximately 15 hours per week
The Plugged In Band Program is a non-profit music program committed to creating an inclusive, loving, and diverse community empowered to change the world. We educate musicians in a non-competitive environment, and provide band and individual performance opportunities in support of community and charitable causes.
Job Description
The Outreach Coordinator oversees the planning and implementation of outreach strategies. They are primarily responsible for cultivating relationships with individuals, businesses, schools and other relevant organizations for the purpose of recruiting new students and increasing enrollment. The Outreach Coordinator candidate should have experience with business development and be passionate about Plugged In’s mission.
Responsibilities

Attend fairs and community events, tabling booths, networking meetings and more to help connect new communities with Plugged In.

Research new performances/gigs opportunities.

Cultivate relationships with businesses, individuals, and other relevant organizations.

Send monthly newsletter with student, alumni, teacher, volunteer, accomplishments, gigs and news.

Work with Board Marketing Committee as needed.

Send out event and program press releases.

Regularly update PR lists.

Work with all committees (and board) to create PR calendar and ensure releases are being sent.

Strong interpersonal skills and relationship-building

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively

Resourceful, detail oriented, highly organized and able to prioritize tasks

Strong written and oral communication skills

Comfortable using a variety of technology platforms.
