Gigs Open to Plugged In Students and Alumni

Plugged In is often approached by local organizations, charities, and businesses about performing at their events.  We work directly with some of these organizations and actively help coordinate our participation.  There are also some wonderful organizations and events that Plugged In would love to work with directly, but due to a very full schedule of our own events are unable to.  However, we don’t want you to miss even one opportunity to perform, so we will be listing all of the gigs we know about here, along with any of the details we have.  If you have any questions just click here to get in touch with us!

NBA Street Fair - June 1, 2013

Event time – 10:00a – 3:00p

Our performance time – 2:30p to 3:30p (performers should plan to arrive 1/2 hour early and stay 1/2 hour late to help break down)

Last year the enthusiasm of the crowds made the day a great success. Food, entertainment, children’s activities, booths from local merchants and non-profits were the highlight of the day. Many people took advantage of the opportunity to enjoy sales and gain valuable information on services and products the local neighborhood businesses provide. It was a wonderful way for everyone to connect with the community and experience what Needham has to offer.  Last year between 2 and 3 thousand local citizens came out an enjoyed the day with us!

Plugged In students and alumni have multiple performance opportunities.  Performances can be acoustic or electric.  Plugged In is NOT able to provide drum sets or amplification for this event.  If you would like to perform an electric set or have a drum set you will have to bring your own equipment.

1.) Students and alumni can perform a solo set.

2.) Students and alumni can perform with their band.  Be aware that Plugged In is NOT providing a drum set or additional amplification this year.  If you wish to perform with your entire band please coordinate equipment transport with your band mates.  If you need contact information for your band mates please refer to your student roster or contact us and we will send it to you.

3.) Students and alumni can perform with other students who are NOT in their band.  This takes additional coordination so please contact us for help.  When you contact us please let us know what instrument you will be playing and what songs you are interested in performing.

Please RSVP for this event no later than May 20, 2013.  Click here to RSVP via email.
