LETTER FROM AL KENNEDY July 26, 2005 As her parents, we reach out to teens, and our community at large to make a difference. Music has the ability to engage people of all ages, and serve as a creative channel for a growing mind. Bands can keep kids engaged, focused and building self-confidence. Music can provide a truly powerful environment, where kids can stand on their own and be in charge. Entropy was a perfect example of a group of kids on the road to using music as their creative channel. Each member of this young band displayed confidence and ease as they breezed through many popular tunes. It’s safe to say they amazed the crowd, who had never seen a band with such young members, sound so precise and versatile. We got to meet the bands and their parents, the parents may not realize it, but they are in the band as well. Until the band members get their own vehicle, parents are the bands first and hardest working crew members. Once teens hit their 20's , they begin to do it all on their own, like Making it Right, who travel in their van this Summer promoting their CD release of "Sorry Your Uncomfortable". They hit the stage at Kate's party following Entropy. Roll the clock ahead 30 years, ( or back I guess….) and you have the next 2 bands "RUN N Wild" and Suffrin Blye 2005. Both of these bands are loaded with 50 year olds that played together in Needham High School, and have re-formed to appear at KTK events … and loving it! Dave Cintolo and his son James performed as well. We sincerely thank all involved in this years efforts, and we will take it to the next level next year. Bands and Music are constantly changing, evolving, growing, and learning. See you all on July 15, 2006 for the next chapter. We hope to produce and release another CD set of the KTK 2005 events.
