Amnesty International and Axis of Justice is a non-profit organization formed by Tom Morello of Audioslave and Serj Tankian of System of a Down. Its purpose is to bring together musicians, fans of music, and grassroots political organizations to fight for social justice together. Plugged In presented “All Rights Preserved: A Benefit Concert for Human Rights and Social Justice” in June 2006.

The Elias Fund, started by the band, Dispatch, to provide hope and opportunity through education to the next generation of Zimbabwean youth.  Plugged In hosted a benefit concert entitled, “I Am Strong If You Are Strong,” ofr the Elias Fund in January 2006.

I Love Music Foundation

I Love Music Foundation was started by Walter McCarty of the Boston Celtics, to promote music opportunities, resources and education for Boston youth, and Bring Back the Music, a Young Audience of Massachusetts program providing weekly instrumental instruction to fourth and fifth grade students at Boston Public Schools.

Mass Tobacco Free Coalition

Tobacco Free Mass is a privately-funded coalition that advocates for funding and policies that support tobacco prevention and reduction of the public’s exposure to secondhand smoke. TFM was formed in 1991 to pass Question One, which raised the state’s tobacco excise tax to fund in part the Massachusetts Tobacco Control Program and other public health initiatives. The Coalition has remained active by advocating for funding and policies to reduce death and disease caused by tobacco use. Tobacco Free Mass carries out its mission with the help of more than fifty member organizations and 10,000 grassroots advocates from across the state.
